Luana Carvalho

Battle it Out

She was born in Brazil but grew up in Portugal. Her degree is in Oral Hygiene from FMDUL but her passion is dancing.

This passion at age 24, through Forró and Samba de Gafieira. In 2013 she found Lindy Hop, which instantly captivated her with energy and creativity. She began her adventure with Lindy Hop and later became interested in Vintage Jazz and Balboa. In 2016 she accepted the challenge of joining the team of teachers at Swing Station and since then she has dedicated herself to deepening her knowledge in pedagogy and social dance.

Luana believes that dancing is a way to communicate, share and live emotions.

Nasceu no Brasil mas cresceu em Portugal. Licenciada em Higiene Oral pela FMDUL.

A paixão pela dança surgiu aos 24 anos, através do Forró e Samba de Gafieira. Em 2013 conheceu o Lindy Hop que a cativou instantaneamente pela energia e a criatividade. Iniciou o seu percurso com Lindy Hop e posteriormente interessou-se também pelo Vintage Jazz e Balboa. Em 2016 aceitou o desafio de integrar a equipa de professores da Swing Station e desde então dedica-se a aprofundar conhecimento na pedagogia e na dança social.

Acredita que a dançar é uma forma de comunicar, partilhar e viver emoções.
